Kids’ Written Narrations

Kids' Written Narrations - Kids Write the Darndest things!

Okay, it is now time to welcome you into my homeschooling journey, and introduce you to ‘Little Me.’ (Yes, I was little once!) The first peek into my life of ‘Little Me’ is my writing…

A few months ago I went up into the attic and pulled down some of my old school work. I have a ton of it! I then began to read some of my narrations I did, when I was about eight. Let’s just say I was a ‘little’ embarrassed. But then it turned into pleasure to look through the mess of narrations I did and realized how much I’ve learned in those many years of school.

So…over time, I will share some of the “cute” narrations I had written when I was a child…AND include all the horribly misspelled words, whatever grammar I actually used, capitalization whenever I chose to use it, and however I wrote it! Yes, that means 100% unedited. Sorry, if you can’t understand it at some times…

This is a narration from, Breakfast with George and a movie about him, too. When I say George, I mean George Washington. (I put together a post about him, too!)

“George washington Had 2 Horses There nams are Blueskin and Nelson. That he was Still gunfire.
George Washington Had 10 Dogs There Tipsey Pompey Harry Maiden Lady Dutchess Drunkard Tru-Love Mopsy and piloT
I ate otmel.
George Wachingont livede in mount VernoN
I live in Richmund
he was 6’5 Feet
I laght a bot The bathroom becouce The Tolilet peper and The Teeth brush becouce they used salt and water ond The teeTh brush becouce thy used a stick
The mufy we watchd I learned that George Washington when someone guns George Washington is stil ulive
George WashingTon was a gentleman
he get ill”

Tell me if you understood that? Some of it, I don’t even understand!

I’m sharing this to tell you…keep your child’s writings. Mistakes and all! Down the road, this will be a very special keepsake that will bring laughter and fond memories.

Remember…Kids say write the darndest things!
