Good Books for Teen Boys

I have some really good books for teen boys! I was having some difficulty not sharing these books with you, because they are just THAT good.

My sixteen year old brother isn’t an avid reader like me, but I know his style, because it can be my style at times, too! Danger, suspense, action, true-grit…about everything he must have for him to like the book. Sounds like all teen boys, doesn’t it?

These are some really good books for teen boys:

  • Boy Colonel: A Soldier Without a Name
I read this book like eating a bag of potato chips! (I can’t eat a bag of potato chips, just thought I’d let you know. ;) ) The book was so addicting I couldn’t help but keep turning the pages! Battle scenes, suspense, courage…it had it all! A must read for your teen boys. You can read a more detailed review, too!
  • Brothers at Arms
The author of Boy Colonel comes back with another action-packed book! He’s second book captured me as much as the first, but with a “multiple” fascination. I have a further review, too, that can give you more information as to why this is such an amazing book!
  • Kingdom Series
Yes, I know I put this in the Booklist for Boys, Aged 9-12, but this series doesn’t have an age limit. I cannot tell you how impressive these books are! What boy doesn’t like knights, sword fights, and mysterious creatures? The author of these books did an amazing job, tying together those components with the Bible, creating a fun and educational allegory that your son would love to read.
  • Knights of Arrethrae
Another series that contains sword fights, knights, and evil enemies. Each book doesn’t exactly tell an allegory of the Bible, but rather tells an extravagant story of a specific character and the battles in the process of achieving victory over them.
  • Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince
I LOVE Lamplighters! Amazing, powerful, classics that speak to the soul of you and your children. We have a whole shelf devoted primarily to these books, which is packed full of them. Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince had my whole family captured by the life lessons the teen boy had to go through. The message was very inspiring. I definitely recommend this book! (We bought the audiobook version and listened to it on a road trip).

What are some books your teen son really enjoys?
